Threshold

well here we are
standing at the threshold
we've come this far
only to behold the glory of this moment
to be present

all that's been
is fading as the darkness yields
before the dawn
I can feel the starkness of the power of the sunrise
the light in your eyes

and I just have to say
that I'm so very grateful to be here with you
witnessing the birth of this new attitude

and I just have to say
the beauty and the wonder take my breath away
and I hope that you can understand the magnitude
of my love for you

well here we are

with open arms
welcoming the golden dawn into our beating hearts
a brand new start

and all that is
beckoning before us now
rejoices
that we are facing without fear the unknown future
I feel sure
