Wandering
oh i went wandering and came upon a little child
with eyes wide and wild in my mind
and i could not find a reason for anything
that would bring me joy
but when that boy's eyes cried
i found i could not hide anymore....
oh i went wandering and came around the bend
where children were playing in a sprinkler
and their laughter, and the water
was shining in the sun
a million drops of heaven, like God's tears,
and I could not fear anymore...
oh i went wandering and I came up to a mountain side
and I began to climb, but my eyes turned blind
my body weak and frail, and i began to fail
but the child inside was strong
and lifted me upon his wings,
singing, and we flew, deep into the blue

and then i fell
